ICING SUGAR

  • Icing Sugar, also known as confectioner’s sugar, is prepared by grinding white sugar into a very fine powder.
  • Powdered sugar contains around 3 percent starch (to prevent clumping) and is useful for sifting over souffles and crepes.
  • This is also used for frostings and dessert making.
  • It is a very versatile ingredient used often in making cakes and other bakery products.
