  • Idli rava is also known as Cream of rice or Rice rava or Rice sooji.
  • It is basically coarsely ground parboiled rice.
  • It is specially used to make south indian dishes like Idli, Dosa, etc.
  • Because rice flour contains no gluten, it makes a great gluten free breakfast or brunch.
  • Semolina and Idli Rava are different, as Semolina is made of durum wheat whereas Idli Rava is made of rice.
